United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA) – representing more than 33,000 classroom teachers – has endorsed Patricia Castellanos for School Board.

In their announcement, UTLA noted her commitment to fully funding our schools, focusing the budget on students and classroom resources, increasing the number of librarians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers – and ensuring accountability.

“I’m incredibly honored to be endorsed by our classroom teachers! EVERY CHILD deserves the opportunity to succeed and access to a fully-funded neighborhood school,” said Castellanos.

In addition to UTLA, Castellanos is the only candidate endorsed by the Democratic Party, SEIU Local 99 Education Workers United, the LA County Federation of Labor, and progressive elected officials like Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, LAUSD Board Member Jackie Goldberg, County Supervisors Sheila Kuehl and Hilda Solis, and many more!
